New build dwelling in Haslemere

DSCF1130.JPG

project overview:

This full-scale residential home project was a complete new design from scratch blending traditional character with contemporary functionality. The architectural design included a dramatic two-storey gable extension featuring exposed oak-style framing and full-height glazing, which significantly enhanced the vertical presence of the façade while flooding the interiors with natural light. The brick exterior was elevated through the addition of natural timber cladding, creating a warm and inviting material palette that reflects rural charm. Multiple pitched dormers were added to increase usable loft space, and solar panels were discreetly integrated into the roofline to support sustainable living. Bi-folding glass doors and Juliet balconies were introduced to improve indoor-outdoor flow and maximize views and daylight throughout the home. The garden was reimagined with new hardscaping, lawn areas, and outdoor seating. This design not only revitalized the plot’s aesthetic and spatial potential but also delivered a future-ready, energy-conscious family dwelling.
